CFR Open day

On Saturday 21st June we held our first Community First Responder open day here at HDP headquarters. Although we would have liked more numbers in attendance the day as a whole was a success.

The day was opened by Director Dave Poulton followed by presentations from:

Jon Ellis- Paramedic and senior lecturer at Oxford Brooks university

Mark Briers- Leicester Fire and Rescue

Dave Evans- Physio Control representative and Student Paramedic

Jennie Reynolds- Training manager

We then ran a successful reconstruction of a road traffic collision, with thanks to Hannah, Anna, Jack, Daisy and Nigel for there excellent acting skills

Following that was a chance to learn how to take Blood pressure, BM readings and peak flow from Lesley Reynolds- nurse

The day was finished off with a BBQ

We would like to Thank Everyone involved and everyone who attended, we are hoping to run these every quater so keep your eyes out for the next one.
