Automated external defibrilators or AED are quickly bevoming more and more popular due to there ability to increase survival rates of someone in cardiac arrest (when the heart isnt beating correctly).

AED’s are now in shopping centres, gyms, villages, train stations, bus stations, airports ect, but would you be comfortable in using one??

AED’s are designed for people who do not know how to use them, they talk you through step by step and have pictures on the pads so you know where to put them. They WILL NOT shock someone if it is not needed, they can read a heart rhythm better than a doctor.

AED’s can increase the chances of survival by over 70% if applied within minutes of a cardiac arrest.

Anyone can buy an AED, the battery will last around 4 years until it has to be replaced.
