Rugby First Aid Training

Duration: 6hr course consisting of theory and practical work.

Rugby First Aid Training-The aim of this course is to have understanding and knowledge of rugby first aid related injuries, be confident in dealing with these specific injuries and have understanding of Head case. This course is ideal for coaches, players, parents and pitch side physiotherapists.

• Primary Survey
• CPR
• Unconscious Casualty
• Manage a Casualty in Seizure
• External Bleeding and Shock
• Head injuries
• Soft tissue injuries
• Spinal injuries
• Fractures, dislocations
• Eye injuries, facial injuries
• Extreme hot and cold
• Stabilising patient until ambulance gets there
• Spine board management

Practical assessment undertaken Emergency First Aid (QAR) 1 Unit , written paper under taken Emergency First Aid, Certificate valid for 3 years
